A California Perspective on Delaware Trusts: Decanting and Other Topics

Recently Michael Gordon of GF&M spoke at a Beverly Hills, California Bar Association lunch on topics including decanting, taxation, directed trusts and privacy and nondisclosure issues related to Delaware trusts. William R. Burford of the Private Bank at J.P. Morgan, Los Angeles, CA was a second presenter.

The discussion included a review of IRS Notice 2011-101 on the tax consequences of decanting and comments submitted by the Estates & Trust Sections of the Delaware State Bar Association and other interested organizations. Each participant in attendance recieved 1 CLE credit.
