Michael Gordon and Daniel Hayward Speak at The Delaware Conference for Accountants in Newark
Recently Gordon, Fournaris & Mammarella, P.A.'s Michael Gordon and Daniel Hayward spoke at the The Delaware Conference for Accountants in Newark. The main purpose of the conference is to help accountants satisfy their CPE requirements. The well-attended conference runs simultaneous sessions of tax and accounting CPE allowing attendees to choose topics depending on the CPE credits needed to satisfy their continuing professional education requirements.
The semi-annual event is an eight CPE credit seminar normally held in late May and then again in October in either Newark or Wilmington Delaware. Of the four keynote speakers, two were from GF&M.
Daniel F. Hayward, JD, BS, Associate at Gordon, Fournaris & Mammarella, P.A. spoke at the morning session. Daniel's session, "Estate Planning Under 2010 Tax Act," focused on gifting opportunities available to clients in 2012 and how to structure estate plans in the ever changing tax environment.
Michael M. Gordon, JD, LLM, Director at Gordon, Fournaris & Mammarella, P.A. spoke at the afternoon session. Michael's session, "Delaware Asset Protection Trusts" focused on the use of DING (Delaware Incomplete gift Non-Grantor) trusts to avoid state income tax and the use of completed gift asset protection trusts for estate planning purposes.
