Phillip A. Giordano has been promoted to Director at GF&M

Phillip A. Giordano has been promoted to Director at GF&M.  Phillip received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Delaware. He earned his Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law, where he was Copy Editor of the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law.  Phillip is admitted to practice in the State of Delaware and in the United States District Court of Delaware.  GF&M is delighted to add another attorney to their team of Directors.

2022 Edition of U.S. News

Gordon, Fournaris & Mammarella, P.A. is excited to announce that eight of their practice areas have been regionally ranked in the 2022 Edition of U.S. News – Best Lawyers ® “Best Law Firms.” GF&M’s practice areas for Litigation – Trusts & Estates was again listed as Metropolitan Tier 1, and additionally Real Estate Law and Trusts & Estates Law moved up a rank to Metropolitan Tier 1. In a setback to nursing-home operators facing hundreds of COVID-19 negligence and wrongful-death lawsuits, a federal appeals court on Wednesday said cases against two New Jersey facilities should proceed in state courts.

Michael Gordon has been elected President of the Delaware State Bar Insurance Services, Inc. (“DSBIS”).  The Board of Directors for DSBIS unanimously elected Michael as the President during the May 2021 Board Meeting.

Administered by USI, the third largest privately held insurance brokerage in the U.S., through its local office in Delaware, DSBIS offers a vast array of insurance products and services. DSBIS services are offered to all members of the Delaware State Bar Association, as well as their firms, their employees, their clients, their families, and referrals.

Michael Gordon, of Gordon, Fournaris & Mammarella, P.A., presented at the ACTEC Annual Meeting on Silent Trusts on March 9, 2021.  This year’s event was held virtually due to the pandemic.  Michael presented in one of the meeting’s programs titled, “Silent Trusts in a Very Loud World: God’s Gift? Or the Devil’s Work?”  The program discussed disclosure requirements imposed by various state statutes, concerns a trustee may face in administering a silent trust, and other relevant case law related to silent trusts.

On Nov 22, 2020, Managing Partner, Michael M. Gordon was quoted in an aritcle in the Personal Finance section of Forbes.com titled"Why The Wealthy Are Pleased With The Election Results", by Megan Gorman, Senior Contributor.

The artilcle discusses why wealthy individuals and families are breathing a sigh of relief in light of the election results. Their worst tax fears are not to be realized in the near term as the combination of a Democratic president and a likely Republican Senate means that significant tax legislation is off the table.
