Michael M. Gordon, a Director at the Wilmington law firm of Gordon, Fournaris & Mammarella, P.A., has been chosen to speak this October 11th at the 2013 Delaware Trust Camp in New York City. Sharing what he has learned through his experience as one of the preeminent experts in the field of Delaware trust law, Mr. Gordon will be delivering a talk titled, "The Art of Decanting."
A recent trust & estate teleconference sponsored by the American Bar Association was held on the topic of "Creating a Domestic Asset Protection Trust". An overview of the issues to consider in drafting, funding and administering a domestic asset protection trust were covered in the Tuesday, May 7, 2013 teleconference. Serving as a panelist and presenter was GF&M's own Michael Gordon.

The addition of the practice of Captive Insurance expands the services that Gordon, Fournaris & Mammarella, P.A. offers its' clients. A captive insurance company is formed to insure the risks of its owner, affiliated businesses, or a group of companies. Captives can be used to minimize insurance costs and control risk. If a captive is properly formed and operated as an insurance company, the premiums paid to the captive are a deductible business for the insured.
Recently Michael Gordon of GF&M spoke at a Beverly Hills, California Bar Association lunch on topics including decanting, taxation, directed trusts and privacy and nondisclosure issues related to Delaware trusts. William R. Burford of the Private Bank at J.P. Morgan, Los Angeles, CA was a second presenter.
